Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in Gynaecological Oncology
Permanent - Full-time Position 10PA
Applications are invited for a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in Gynaecological oncology. This post is based at the Whittington Hospital.
You will be required to provide leadership in the Gynaecological Oncology service; Whittington Health is a cancer unit with the centre at University College Hospital. Experience in running cancer pathways is essential. The successful candidate will be expected to lead the biweekly multi-disciplinary team. You will be working alongside one other consultant gynaecologist, and two gynaecology nurses..
There will be a requirement for Obstetrics and Gynaecology on call for this post and so ATSM in advanced labour ward as well as gynae ultrasound certification.
The successful candidate will have MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification and subspecialty or appropriate experience in gynae oncology or ATSM training in Gynae oncology, and BSCCP accreditation in colposcopy
You must have proven experience in undertaking TLH independently.
You will also have CCT or equivalent (‘equivalence’ must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of interview) and be on the GMC Specialist Register or be eligible for entry within 6 months of date of interview.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
