Band 8A Lead Nurse Tissue Viability Service

 

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse to lead and manage the Tissue Viability Service ensuring the effective running of the service across Whittington Health, which includes Whittington hospital and community services – Haringey and Islington.

 

This position provides the opportunity to work in an established integrated service providing clinical expertise, education and expert advice across a variety of settings across Primary and Secondary care. You will work closely with the hospital staff, community district nurse teams and nursing home staff within Whittington Hospital and Haringey and Islington. This is an interesting and varied role, which encompasses all aspects of Tissue Viability for the population.

 

We require a person with vision, commitment to lead the service and those working within the team. Be able to work independently across a variety of settings, Primary and Secondary care and yet provide effective communication to senior colleagues, junior members of the team as well multi-disciplinary colleagues. Areas of responsibility will include ensuring that National and Local Policies and Guidelines are applied to practice, developing and delivering educational programmes for clinical staff and representing the Tissue Viability Service through attendance at appropriate meetings / forum and conferences.

 

The post requires a registered nurse educated to masters level, with wide experience of working within Tissue Viability Service at band 7 level. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated nurse, wishing to expand their knowledge, leadership and managerial skills.
