Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse - Band 7
This is an exciting opportunity for a Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse to provide clinical leadership and assist in the management of the Tissue Viability Service ensuring the effective running of the service across Whittington Health, which includes Whittington hospital and community Services – Haringey and Islington.
This position provides the opportunity to work in an established integrated service providing clinical expertise, education and expert advice across a variety of settings across Primary and Secondary care.
The team provides specialist care to patients with complex wounds, promotes the trust pressure ulcer prevention strategy and plays a key role in promoting and educating colleagues in tissue viability and wound care. As part of an integrated care organisation we have the opportunity to really work across patient pathways and work closely as an integrated team across primary and secondary care.
We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse wishing to expand their knowledge and skills surrounding complex wound care. We require a person with vision, commitment to develop the service and those working within the team. You need to be motivated, flexible and ready to develop your personal skills, able to work as part of a team and also independently, whilst working in a variety of environments such as domiciliary, care homes, wards and clinics.
The post holder will work both in the hospital and community setting enhancing practice and leading on quality improvement projects.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
