Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Nuclear Medicine

Applications are invited for a full time (10 PA) Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Nuclear Medicine to join the existing (and growing) team of Consultant Radiologists at Whittington Health. 2 PET CT PAs at UCLH are included in the job plan. The Imaging department undertakes around 200,000 examinations per year including all aspects of diagnostic and interventional radiology. Over 3,500 imaging and non-imaging studies are performed in a busy SPECT CT nuclear medicine department. The new DEXA unit (installed in 2018) sees approximately 2,000 patients per annum and is part of the nuclear medicine unit.

This is an exciting time to be working in a forward looking, busy Nuclear Medicine Department at Whittington Health. All substantive consultants are offered a home reporting workstation and home reporting PAs as part of their routine job plan.

The successful applicant must be accredited in Diagnostic Radiology and must also be on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council (UK), and have undertaken the necessary sub-speciality training in Nuclear Medicine or be in possession of equivalent relevant qualifications.

The Imaging department boasts a modern digital imaging system including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, Nuclear medicine and DEXA services.
