Imaging Department

Band 7 Senior Radiographer

Our fully digital department is referred to by local and national media as ‘one of the most innovative departments in the country’.  The Hospital site has 2 MRI scanners, 2 CT scanners, 7 digital x-ray rooms, a Gama camera (shortly to be upgraded to SPECT CT), DXA scanner, fluoroscopy and interventional fluoroscopy suite sited in theatre as well as several US rooms. Over 200,000 exams will be performed this year.

We are looking for an enthusiastic an experienced cross sectional radiographer to lead our professional and friendly team and we welcome and support candidates already qualified or working towards advanced practice. The post holder is expected to be proficient in CT/MR and interventional Radiology as well as being able to work as a senior leader in those modalities. 

The hospital has excellent transport links being 5 minutes from Archway tube station and a 10 minute walk from Upper Holloway Overground Rail station as well as being served by multiple bus routes. 

Recent changes in management have led to an exciting time to be part of this innovative team who has a commitment to realising ‘working to the top of your grade’ exploring role development, advanced practice and the blurring of professional boundaries.

Any appointee will be expected to contribute to idea generation and the promotion of collaborative working across professional groups and inter-department.

The successful applicant will be participating in an AfC compliant rota which will include extended days, nights and weekends.  We are unable to consider any applicant who cannot work nights.
