BAND 3 Therapy Assistant

2 days a week (.4 WTE)

 

Islington Additional Needs and Disability Team (IANDS) is a multidisciplinary service for children and young people 0-19.

We are seeking a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our team. The successful applicant will work the majority of the time across Richard Cloudesley Primary and Secondary school sites in Islington supporting the Physiotherapists. Richard Cloudesley is an outstanding school for children and young people with educationally significant physical disabilities. You will also have a role supporting the wider Islington IANDS with holiday groups and admin as appropriate.

Many students at Richard Cloudesley have complex physical needs. You will support students in achieving individual goals through assisting with running individual or group sessions, including hydrotherapy, and supporting with assessments led by the Physiotherapists. Your role will also include supporting with equipment provision and creation of programmes.

You will work alongside a team of experienced health care assistants, nurses, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and full training and support will be provided by a Physiotherapist.

This post is subject to a 6 month probationary period. Please apply early as applications will close once sufficient numbers have applied. Applicants who wish to work term time only, or shorter working hours each day (e.g. 8:30-3:30) are also welcome to apply.
