This is an exciting time to join the department as we develop our service in line with National objectives including the Long Term Plan and in keeping with the Trusts Digital Agenda as a Fast Follower site.
Whittington Pharmacy Department is looking for an ambitious, forward thinking and dynamic pharmacist to lead its provision of education and training both within the department and the training of the wider workforce on Medicines Optimisation across both acute and community services.
You will provide operational and strategic input into the education, development and continuing professional development of Pharmacy staff within the Trust.
You will support pharmacy leads in the delivery of both formal and in-house training programmes to enable pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pre-registration pharmacists to meet their professional requirements and developmental needs.
You will coordinate all medicines optimisation training provided across the Trust for medical, nursing and other healthcare staff, working closely with pharmacy, medical and nursing leads across the Trust.
You will jointly lead on all audits and research and Quality Improvement and further develop strong links with local University schools of pharmacy to undertake research and clinical placements.
You will engage with and lead the pharmacy service input into STP and ICS related workforce developments including Vocational Training Schemes and Primary Care Networks.
You will ensure that Quality Improvement is integral within clinical pharmacy and wider pharmacy service developments and will actively promote a research culture within the department.
