Grade: Band B / Band C

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Dental Officer  / Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry  to join the Community Dental team at Whittington Health.

The post-holder will be responsible for specialist treatment (including treatment under general anaesthesia and conscious sedation) of paediatric patients with complex needs who are referred to the service; the appointee will provide clinical leadership for the development of paediatric dentistry in the service.

The majority of the post will involve providing clinical care, including the assessment of children for treatment under general anaesthesia, but there will also be responsibilities in the areas of clinical governance, training, management and supervision

Applications from those unable, for personal reasons, to work on a whole-time basis, or a job share basis will be considered.

The successful candidate must have full GDC registration and they should also be entered on the local Performers list. If applying for a Specialist post  you must be entered on the Specialist Register of the GDC or have a CCST date in Paediatric Dentistry within six months of the date of interview.  We welcome enquiries regarding either a specialist or SDO post.
