Islington Additional Needs and Disability Service provides a multi-agency team approach to working with babies, children and young people who present with additional needs and complex disability. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated Occupational therapist to join this service, who is able to work sensitively with children and young people and is committed to family centred practice.

We have opportunities for an Occupational Therapist based full time at the Bridge School. The Bridge is a special school for children and young people with complex needs including Autism and Learning disability whose ages range from 4-19 years. The majority of the children and young people experience a range of difficulties including sensory, learning and communication challenges. The Bridge School is a teaching school with three consecutive outstanding Ofsted reports. The Bridge School is a pioneering organisation developing new approaches to support integrated working and is proactively working to develop the evidence base around improving outcomes for children and young people and their families.

The post holder will be part of a multidisciplinary health team based at the Bridge which consists of Speech and Language therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, School nurse and Health care assistants. We will offer you excellent training opportunities with a strong emphasis on individual performance appraisal and supervision. External training is also fully supported and encouraged.
