An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to fill this administrator post, based in the Nutrition and Dietetic Department of Whittington Hospital.
Whittington Health is an Integrated Care Organisation, rated as Good by the CQC and Outstanding for caring. The Nutrition and Dietetic Department is a very friendly place to work and this post directly supports clinical staff to ensure we give patients a high quality service. We provide general and specialist services to adults and children including gastroenterology, diabetes and paediatric allergy clinics. Main responsibilities will include the management of outpatient clinics and appointments system, including direct communication with patients to set up, change and adjust clinic appointments. There will also be administration duties including sending letters, completing activity data on our IT system and working with dietitians to ensure appointments are offered in an appropriate time-frame. You will also have full responsibility for maintaining nutrition resources and stock; ordering and cross-charging for specialist feeding equipment, filing; booking meetings and taking minutes; maintaining our catering system for meal extras; collection of audit data and supporting the Dietitians to carry out health promotion events.
The position involves communicating with patients, parents and carers on a daily basis and therefore excellent communication skills are required. Computer skills will also be essential as will an ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
