Band 6 - Health Visitor Bright Start Islington

 

Whittington Health has a an exciting opportunity for Band 6 Health Visitors. If you are a qualified Health Visitor or a Student Health Visitor due to qualify this year we would really like to hear from you.

The Post is a health visiting post in Bright Start Islington which is the name of Islington's integrated services for under 5's and their families. Bright Start staff are working together towards improving outcomes for all children and families within the borough. We work in co located sites which are in Health Centres and Children's Centres. we also work in nurseries and community centres across Islington.

We have a preceptorship programme for newly qualified Health visitors and peer group support in place. We offer a wide range of ‘in-house’ and other training opportunities for professional development through our learning and development department as well as clinical supervision.

You will gain experience working with Child Protection and will have regular supervision of these cases. You will need to be proactive, able to identify and respond to health needs and react to unpredictable events.
