Are you looking for a new challenge to build on your acute nursing skills?
The Critical Care Unit is a state of the art unit with the latest in monitoring and diagnostic equipment catering for a variety of level 2 and level 3 patients.
We have vacancies for Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our team. You must be a registered nurse with at least six months acute ward experience.
As a new Band 5 staff nurse you will be automatically seconded onto the unit’s introduction to Critical Care Nursing Module. This module is accredited by Middlesex University and is worth 30 credits at level 6 or 7. Following successful completion of the module and with nomination by your mentor you will be given the opportunity to undertake the Critical Care course run by the Middlesex University worth an additional 30 credits at level 6 or 7. This is all supervised by two critical care practice development nurses.
You will have a 6-week supernumerary period working under the direct supervision of a Band 6 or experienced Band 5 nurse. You will be allocated to a team with the Team Leader as your mentor.
Based on this we offer a supportive learning environment to enable you to excel in your critical care career.
