MRI Superintendent


We are looking for a dynamic, positive and innovative individual to manage MRI. This will involve management of patient waiting lists, training of Radiographers and Radiographic assistants and management of Provider to Provider workload. The successful applicant will be expected to manage capability and performance where necessary and also risk and complaints for the MRI area. The post holder In addition will perform duties relating to MRI equipment management.


The 2 Philips MRI scanners are ‘back to back’ with a minimum staffing level of 3 Radiographers, 1 cannulating Radiographic assistant and a co-located MRI receptionist. Training Radiographers are considered supernumerary to these staffing levels until deemed at a sufficiently competent level under the framework in operation.


The job role core hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday with weekend and evening shifts available via the staff bank.


Any appointee will be expected to lead projects, including CIP delivery related to

MRI and support the team in new and innovative ways of working. They will also

support the promotion of collaborative working across professional groups and inter



The successful applicant will be expected to perform their non-clinical duties alongside their clinical practice.
