Radiographer Band 6

 

Last year saw Whittington health invest over £4m in Imaging refurbishment and equipment. The Hospital site has installed the following in 18/19:

GE SPECT CT scanner

Siemens CT scanner

Hologic DXA scanner

Hologic Tomographic mammo unit

Siemens fluoroscopy

5 Samsung DR x-ray rooms

Several new Samsung and Canon US units and work on a new US room will shortly be completed.

Advanced Practice for Radiographers is supported and in 2019 there will be training opportunities for Mammographers, Sonographers and Reporting Radiographers for our substantive staff.  In the last 24 months 3 Reporting radiographers, 2 sonographers and 2 Mammographers have been trained and qualified so we have a strong record in supporting career development in addition to the training rotation in CT, MRI and Interventional Imaging.

 Archway is a vibrant area of North London with easy and fast access from all major stations and bus routes as well as the Overground Gospel Oak to Barking Line.

 We are looking for enthusiastic full or part time radiographers preferably with experience in cross sectional imaging to join our professional and friendly team. The appraisal and management structure aims to develop staff into their long term career goals by giving them experience in the areas they desire most.

 

 

Participation in an AfC compliant rota will be expected with extended days, nights and weekends forming part of the working pattern.
