Foundation Year 3 - Posts in Emergency Medicine

We are looking for enthusiastic doctors who have satisfactorily completed Foundation Year 2 training to take up our innovative newly established F3 posts in Emergency Medicine at ST1 level.

These posts offer excellent opportunity for doctors wishing to enhance their CVs and gain experience in Emergency Medicine before commencing specialty training following a gap year. The posts offer the same benefits as those for recognised Deanery training posts. Candidates will be assigned an educational and clinical supervisor who will provide support, career guidance and mentoring. There will be access to e-portfolio to document work-based assessments and reflecting learning completed during this time.

In addition, the Trust is committed to the educational development of medical staff within this programme and candidates will have access to study leave and the opportunity to undertake/participate in one or more of the following:
• Life Support Courses
• Teaching including simulation teaching

. QIP / Audit opportunities
• Research and academic training
• Postgraduate certificate in Medical Education
• Teach the Teachers
• Attending scheduled teaching with the Core Medical Trainees
• EWTD compliant rotas
