Band 7 (Acute) Diabetes Specialist Nurse. The Acute Diabetes Service of Whittington Health is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our busy and dynamic team working within the Whittington Hospital wards and departments.

Whittington Health is an innovative Integrated Care Organisation providing hospital and community services to 440,000 people living in Islington and Haringey. It has embraced quality as the overarching principle for the organisation. Our aim is to provide outstanding care.

This role is an exciting opportunity to provide high quality, evidence based diabetes care. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of Diabetes Nurses, Dietitians and Consultants.

The service provides complex care to patients with diabetes within the hospital setting. You will also be involved in delivering Type 1 Diabetes structured education, and working with people using insulin pumps, although the main focus of this job will be working on the wards. We work closely with primary and other secondary care services to provide integrated care for our patients.
