Haringey IAPT is recruiting a Band 7 CBT Therapist - part time (18.75 hours per week)

Whittington Health is looking to recruit a part-time CBT Therapist for the Haringey IAPT Long Term Conditions service.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant well-established IAPT service. Let’s Talk is a forward thinking and innovative provider of a range of IAPT treatments for common mental health problems. We have an excellent reputation and are known for our high quality of service delivery and service design.

We serve a diverse patient population in the vibrant multi-cultural and multi-lingual borough of Haringey. If you have, or would like to gain experience of working within a diverse multi-cultural community, this may be the right position for you. 70% of people living in Haringey speak English; we are particularly interested in recruiting therapists who are fluent in one of the other languages spoken in Haringey such as Turkish or Spanish.

Our service has over 90 members of staff. We are looking to appoint a Band 7 BABCP accredited CBT therapist. The post is permanent and will be based across Haringey (attracting outer London HCAS)

The Long Term Conditions service sees people who have a chronic long-term condition (LTC) and a mental health condition and has been successfully running for over a year.  Currently the service sees people with any of the following LTCs: Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, COPD, MSK/Chronic pain, cardiac illnesses.  Training will be provided for those who are successfully recruited into the LTC role.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our thriving service. If you meet the following criteria we invite you to apply:

  1. You are an experienced and BABCP accredited CBT Therapist, or a clinical or counselling psychologist with extensive CBT training and experience.
  2. You are experienced with the IAPT disorder-specific evidence-based treatment protocols.
  3. Ideally you are conversant with the patient management system IAPTUS.
  4. You have an excellent and demonstrable track record in working in a high pressured and demanding environment.

All staff are required to do one out of hours shift (12-8pm) per week
