The Paediatric Mental Health team is a small multidisciplinary child and family mental liaison team working across the Whittington Hospital. The team provides psychological and psychiatric support along with clinical services to children and young people under the age of 18. The role of the CNS also focuses on assessing and managing CYP who present in ED with Mental Health crisis, and in helping the paediatric ward safely care for CYP who may need short stay admissions on the ward due to their acute presentation needs. They also provide support services to the families of these patients.
The role will involve some cross working with the wider CAMHS services and Adolescent specialist services.
You will work alongside another Paediatric RMN CNS and have the opportunity to use and develop therapeutic skills such as CBT, DBT and family therapy according to your skills and interests.
We are looking for an RMN with significant experience of working with children and young people with mental health issues.
