 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

Band 5 Simmons House Adolescent Unit

Inpatient CAMHS

Simmons House is a 12 bedded unit specialising in the inpatient treatment of those aged 13-18 presenting with a range of mental health problems.

As a Staff Nurse, in addition to working in a committed and highly skilled nursing team, you will have the opportunity to develop skills working therapeutically in Individual, Group and Family contexts. You will have the opportunity to expand your day to day management experience and to build up links with referrers and community based services.

We offer a developed and highly structured system of supervision and training, and are committed to supporting suitable post-basic study, in line with the knowledge skills framework. It is desirable for candidates to have had a period of post qualification experience. Whilst previous relevant experience would be an advantage, we are equally impressed with those who can demonstrate imagination and enthusiasm, and who feel they can make a contribution to the work with this stimulating and rewarding client group.

The post involves working with children and adolescents so the successful candidate will need to have a Disclosure Barring Scheme check.
