We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Band 4 Assistant Practitioners to join our friendly and supportive teams within the Surgical Unit.
Mercers Ward
Mercers Ward is a 16 bed general surgical ward, catering for both emergency and elective patients, often with acute complex needs. The specialities include Colorectal, Bariatric and Urology surgery.

Coyle Ward
Coyle Ward is a 24 bed non-elective orthopaedic surgery/ trauma ward. Patients admitted to this ward have a range of orthopaedic injuries which require surgery. There are also general surgery, urology and gynae patients who are both elective and emergency admissions.
Assistant Practitioners will be a key part of our ward team and support the Registered Nurses in providing high quality care. You will need to enjoy working within an evolving and fast paced service.
We will provide a Trust Induction and a personalised local orientation. You will be supported by our professional development nurse, senior staff and have access to a variety of teaching in the clinical area so you continue to develop skills.
If you have excellent communication skills, a professional manner and are committed to providing high quality care, preferably with surgical care experience, we want to hear from you !
