Whittington Health provides District Nursing Services to the boroughs of Haringey and Islington. We are looking for a talented nurse to undertake the role of Community Matron as part of our high achieving, hardworking and innovative team. Haringey and Islington are diverse and exciting places to work, a service where talented health professionals can really make a difference. We welcome applications who have previous experience in community or primary care nursing as well as those who would like to make the move from acute to community nursing.

This is an exciting role which involves working with patients who have complex health and social care needs. Whittington Health is an integrated care organization and therefore also brings the opportunity for Community Matrons to work in integrated teams and alongside local ambulatory care units, emergency departments and ward teams to co-ordinate the best care for their patients. This post holder will need to have the District Nursing qualification. The successful applicant may be funded to undertake the nurse independent prescribing and advanced physical assessment courses and to develop their skills in leadership and management as well as ongoing training, support, clinical supervision and a clear career pathway. In return you will need to be an excellent communicator and team player with the drive and determination to deliver the very best care.
