FAMILY HEALTH ADVISOR - Bright Start Islington

 

We are seeking to employ a Family Health Advisor with an NNEB or NVQ Level 3 in Child Care/CACHE or a Level 4 Certificate in Early Years Practice (OU) or a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Early Years to join our Integrated Bright Start early childhood services for Islington children and families.

The role will involve delivering key aspects of the Healthy Child Programme and support the development of the service and work with colleagues and partners, to ensure the delivery of a safe and effective Universal Health Provision as delegated by the Health Visitor Team Leader. The role includes assessing children's development, supporting families with infant feeding and child development. The delivery is both in group settings and on an individual basis.

You would be expected to demonstrate good communication skills due to the nature of the role in working with children and families. Good communication with integrated colleagues and partners is also essential to ensure local health priorities are addressed to improve health outcomes for children in Islington.

Computer skills are essential.

An induction programme will be offered and six month probation for Whittington Health will be undertaken.
