Whittington Health has a number of exciting opportunities for Band 6 Health Visitors. If you are a qualified Health Visitor or a Student Health Visitor due to qualify this year we would like to hear from you.

As an Early Implementer site, Whittington Health- health visiting service has an ambitious expansion plan and has been developing innovative practice in pregnancy, birth and beyond (PBB), Building Community Capacity (BCC) and mobile working using appropriate technology. As such, we are looking to recruit motivated practitioners with initiative and drive who are keen to contribute to the further development of our service.

We have a preceptorship programme for newly qualified Health visitors and peer group support in place. We offer a wide range of ‘in-house’ and other training opportunities for professional development through our learning and development department as well as clinical supervision and mentorship.

You will gain experience working with Child Protection and will have regular supervision of these cases. You will need to be proactive, able to identify and respond to health needs and react to unpredictable events.

We have in place supportive teams which have skill mix of community paediatric nurses, nursery nurses and health visiting assistants. We work in corporate teams currently and as such, we are seeking health visitors with excellent communication skills, are keen team players, able to prioritise and willing to support change.
