Lead for Healthy Weight Healthy Nutrition

An exciting opportunity has arisen as part of our developing universal Healthy Child Programme for Children and Young People in Haringey. We are on a journey towards stage 2 UNICEF Baby Friendly accreditation and want to continue on the progress we have made. The post holder will have a key role in supporting the Health Visiting workforce in embedding practice with a focus on the primary prevention of obesity. We want to build on the excellent progress we have made in establishing our Healthy Child Programme and want to create heathy weight and nutrition champions in our teams.
The role will involve leadership, teaching, training and skills practice elements with groups and individuals e.g. breastfeeding.
This is a community based role and would suit someone who has experience of working with families and professional s on a 1: 1 basis and in groups and on the evidence for prevention and early intervention.
